Bio

I’m a University of Central Florida (UCF) PhD Candidate in Security Studies. I currently work as the Graduate Research Associate for the Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence where I manage collection and processing of a database on Leader’s Psychological attributes. I previously served as a graduate teaching assistant in the Political Science department at UCF. You can find my CV here.

I leverage computational tools such as web scraping, image analysis and machine learning to better understand political violence. My dissertation uses spatial and environmental determinants to better predict global coup d’etat. My broader research interests include environmental security, political psychology, civil-military relations, and forecasting.

I completed a BA in Political Science at Auburn University in 2014 and a MA at the University of New Orleans in 2015 with a focus on International Relations. At UCF I have received a Graduate Certificate in Geographical Information Systems. I have worked as a researcher for One Earth Future foundation conducting data collection, management and analysis.
